(N. 1 to N. 6)
Importance: High

To All FEACO member associations,

Please find below the information on the first CEN Project Committee meeting
on the MC standard.
If you are interested in contributing to the develoment of this standard,
you should contact your national standardisation body to become an expert in
your national delegartion for the Committee.

The national standardisation bodies have to communicate their delegation
members by 31 July at the latest, so you should not wait with contacting
them if you want to be involved in the process. A preliminary list of
delegates from certain countries is contained in attachment 10.

Attachment 9 is the actual invitation to the meeting.

As you can see, from attachments 5 and 6, FEACO has already applied for
liaison status on the committee. This means that it can provide input to the
standard, but it cannot vote. During the drafting process, questions may be
put in the form of resolutions to a vote. Only national standadisation
bodies can then vote on the basis of the decision of their delegations.

Please let me know if you intend to participate in the standardisation
process,

Kind regards,

Else

To the attention of the
- CEN BT Members
- CEN Associates
- CEN/PC 381 appointed delegates and NSB Contact Persons

Dear Sirs,

In view of the kick-off meeting of CEN/PC 381 Management consultancy
services which will be held in Milan, at APCO (Associazione Professionale
Italiana dei Consulenti di Direzione e Organizzazione/Italian professional
association of Management and Organization Consultants), on Monday 8th and
Tuesday 9th September 2008, you may find herein enclosed the following
documents:

- Invitation to the kick-off meeting
- CEN/PC 381 Doc. N. 1 Draft agenda of the kick-off meeting
- CEN/PC 381 Doc. N. 2 Draft Business Plan
- CEN/PC 381 Doc. N. 3 Proposed table of contents (Input for the Standard)
- Registration form (for those delegations not yet communicated)
- Map how to reach the meeting venue
- A list of hotels with special prices (near UNI the Italian Organization
for Standardization, but within easy reach of the meeting place)
- Map how to reach the restaurant for the Social Dinner on 8th September
- CEN/PC 381 Doc. N. 4 Results of CEN/BT C4/2008 (for information only)
- CEN/PC 381 Doc. N. 5 Liaison status request by FEACO (for decision at the
meeting)
- CEN/PC 381 Doc. N. 6 Survey of the European Management Consultancy Market
2006/2007 (for information)

We would like to remind the National Standards Bodies that we are setting up
the CEN/PC 381 livelink area and in order to get started  we would like you
to have all appointed experts and observers registered in the Livelink as
users. To this purpose, we kindly ask you to inform who is to be considered
as an expert (permanently included in CEN/PC 381 members) and/or as a
delegate for the next meeting only. This would help us to manage the CEN/PC
381 members list smoothly. You may find herein enclosed a preliminary
member's list of CEN/PC 381. Needless to say that it is important that all
stakeholders be represented in the Project Committee in order to get a wide
and balanced view of the European situation. It would be great if the NSBs
could signal by July 31st to the Secretariat (answering to both the
following e-mails: roberto.ravaglia@uni.com and tiziana.tavolieri@uni.com)
if they have recorded as CEN users of the Livelink the persons belonging to
their National Standards Body as well as the confirmation of their role
within CEN/PC 381.

We wish to thank you for your collaboration and remain at your disposal for
any clarification/request you may need.

Yours faithfully,

on behalf of Mr. Ravaglia (CEN/PC 381 Secretary)
